LMT, MFR 1, CST 1, Reiki practitioner level 1 & 2
Hello, I'm Kathleen Pelkey, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and the proud owner of Myofascial Release Center of Maine. I completed my massage therapy education and training at the Acadia School of Massage. Upon graduation, I earned my Myofascial Release Therapist certification, where I specialized in the John Barnes Method approach.
I have trained with the Upledger Institute and utilize CraniosSacral Therapy techniques as well. I am proficient in various massage techniques, including Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, and Prenatal Massage. Being a curious learner I've brought reflexology into my practice as a self taught modality.
My journey with chronic pain has taught me the immense value of bodywork in providing relief. Living a dynamic life, I know the importance of relaxation. I'm passionate about bringing relief to my clients, and I continuously seek to broaden my expertise and skillset. I listen to my clients' needs and use my intuition to bring an integrated approach. Each session is customized and designed to suit their specific requirements. With my extensive knowledge of human biology and anatomy, I offer skilled techniques that incorporate my understanding of kinesiology.
As a member of The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), I'm dedicated to maintaining professional standards and ensuring that my clients receive the highest level of care. I'd be honored to start you on a new path to pain relief or provide a rejuvenating and relaxing therapeutic treatment at Myofascial Release Center of Maine.
